Delete Your Backhaul Account
Backhaul is operated by Northgrey Enterprises Inc. You can delete your account and personal data at any time.
Before you delete
- If you have a subscription, cancel it first. Deleting your account does not cancel it. On Android, open the Google Play Store, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions, and cancel Backhaul. On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and cancel Backhaul.
- Finish or cancel any booked or in-transit loads. You cannot delete your account while you have them.
Option 1: Delete in the app
- Open Backhaul and sign in.
- Go to Account > Delete account.
- Confirm the deletion. It takes effect immediately.
Option 2: Request deletion by email
If you can’t access the app, email support@backhaulapp.ca from the address registered to your account with the subject “Delete my Backhaul account”. We may ask you to verify your identity. We will process your request within 30 days.
What gets deleted
- Your name, phone number, company name, and email address or login
- Loads you posted that were never booked, and the offers on them
- Offers you made that were not accepted
- Your notifications, push notification tokens, and device information
- Any subscription records in Backhaul
- Private comments you wrote in ratings
What we keep
Records that another user also depends on are kept for their records and for dispute resolution: delivered loads, accepted offers, ratings, and delivery proof (photos, signatures, and notes). We keep them for 7 years. They are no longer linked to your name or contact details, and your account appears as “Deleted user”. Your login is permanently disabled.
